North Rift Evangelistic Team(NORET)-Egerton Njoro is a sub-group of the Rift Valley Evangelistic Team under the Egerton University Njoro Campus Christian Union.It is comprised of student believers in Egerton Christian Union who come from the counties in the northern part of the rift valley, formerly the Rift Valley province.These include the following counties: Nandi, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot, Turkana,TransNzoia and Baringo Counties.
Also, NORET-Egerton is an interdenominational,non-political and non-profit movement. It is student-centered and it is mainly concerned with reaching out to areas within the counties of it’s jurisdiction to teach and spread the gospel of Christ Jesus. It’s main motive is to make Christ Jesus known ,by the students first,who will then make Him known by the world through witnessing, evangelism and many other ways.
NORET Egerton Activities
NORET – Egerton has a series of activities, in each spiritual year which comprises of two academic semesters. These activities are aimed at molding it’s members spiritually, socially, academically and other aspects of life pertaining a student. Some of these activities include:
Weekly corporate prayers conducted every Sunday afternoon from 12pm-1pm.
Fellowships ; corporate fellowships and small family groups fellowship held on Friday evenings.
Retreats atleast once every semester for fun and bondings(social interaction) and also church visits to local churches within the locality of the institution.
Missions to various parts of the counties in the north rift atleast once per year,to spread God's love ,peace and His word; making disciples in accordance to God's great commission.
